ENGR-SEG-3. Students will draw auxiliary views.
a. Prepare drawings containing primary and secondary auxiliary views.
b. Prepare drawings containing auxiliary sections.
An auxiliary view is made to be able to show the true dimensions on an angled face. To meet this standard I had to take a drawing I had done, but couldn't correctly dimension all faces and then take the face that couldn't be dimensioned and make it a flat view. In the real world this is useful to show the dimensions of an angled face that cannot be dimensioned
